B4C Community Health Update (updated 5/4/20)
In the past month, the Breathe For Change team assessed our ability to safely host in-person training and did a massive listening tour of what educators want and need. We considered a variety of factors guided by our five core values and kept our commitment to promote the health and well-being of our community at the center. Due to the uncertainty created by COVID-19, we decided to cancel 2020 in-person trainings. We will instead offer two digital trainings that meet the current needs of educators and communities.
We love our in-person trainings and community, so this process of “accept, adjust, and advance” has been an emotional rollercoaster (hello, social-emotional learning!). We are relieved to know where we are headed and thrilled that these new digital trainings will still let us live into our mission to support educators and school communities. And, we are sad. We are sorry to miss the opportunity to gather in-person and give our amazing trainers a stage to shine.
We have notified all trainees who originally registered for summer and fall in-person yoga teacher trainings, as well as our incredible trainer community that was counting on our yoga trainings for employment this year. If you know any of our trainers, we encourage you to follow them on social media and give them some extra love!

OPTION 1: Summer Mind-Body Wellness and SEL Certification: $495
Join us this summer for a 4-week interactive digital training that integrates foundational components of mindfulness, mindful movement, and social-emotional learning. This training will empower and equip YOU to bring healing to yourself and to your students, family members, and communities. This evidence-based course focuses on the impact that mindfulness, mindset, and yoga have on social-emotional learning. Join us to breathe, move, and learn skills that you can implement to enhance well-being right away.
Choose the cohort that works for you:
- Track 1: June 15 - July 10 with live sessions each Mon & Wed
- Track 2: July 6 - July 31 with live sessions each Tues & Thurs
- Track 3: July 25 - August 16 with live sessions each Sat & Sun
Live sessions will take place during the following times:

1:00-3:00 pm MT
2:00-4:00 pm CT
3:00-5:00 pm ET
OPTION 2: Fall Yoga Teacher Training and SEL*F Certification: $1495
This digital training teaches the foundations and philosophy of yoga and meditation practices, and equips you to teach yoga and meditation to both adults and young people. Join a like-minded community to receive mentorship from experienced yogis and educators to enhance your ability to teach yoga, facilitate social-emotional learning, and use wellness as a vehicle for healing and learning. This training will take place over six weekends this fall. It combines 12 six-hour sessions - a total of 72 hours live, in community and conversation - with about 30 hours of on-demand content so you can learn at your own pace.

OPTION 3: Mind-Body Wellness and SEL Certification + Yoga Teacher Training and SEL*F Certification: $1740
This discounted combination most closely resembles your original in-person training. You will earn a certification in Mind-Body Wellness and Social-Emotional Learning this summer to prepare for the start of the new school year. In the fall, you will then build on that foundation in our SEL*F & Yoga Teacher Training. Choose the “bundle” option to enroll in both programs, and save $250!
